Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She is currently a fighter in the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC fellow fighter is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. She won 3-0 following the second-round TKO. Her next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA to focus on the sport of kickboxing. She returned with a win against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa through a unanimous decision, before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina displayed her power of striking by tying Nievera by knees. Antonina took the UFC offer after her victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi in the split decision.
