Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, former chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. Anne Burrell. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step after she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing learning experience for me. I was never able to be more educated or accomplished in my studies. After graduating, chef Burrell resided in Italy for one year attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, and has made an impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of kids facing problems. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador who promotes the awareness of juvenile diabetes. She is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and travels across the nation to mentor others in her task. Anne often has mentioned during her career in the kitchen that she feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to communicate with people what is essential for her.
